Project Description
The objective of this project was to advance carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) solutions by analysing the Ílhavo Ria Stone facility to assess its emissions profile and decarbonization potential. It aimed to conduct a state-of-the-art review of post-combustion carbon capture and CO₂ utilization technologies, benchmarking and ranking the most effective solutions. Additionally, the project sought to develop a tailored CCUS strategy for the Visabeira case, ensuring alignment with its operational and sustainability objectives. Finally, a feasibility assessment was performed to evaluate the technical, economic, and environmental impact of the proposed solutions, supporting their potential implementation and long-term viability.
