Project Description
This project aims to develop a new industrial process for the continuous production of methanol from CO2 hydrogenation using molecular sieve catalysts. This will be achieved through the design and development of NetMIX-based reactors, and research of efficient methods for the fixation of catalytic films on metal alloy plates.
Main Outcomes
Construction of a Micro-Scale Prototype: Prototype able to produce methanol from CO2 and H2, at a rate up to 20 L/min, at pressure up to 50 bar and temperature up to 300 ºC.
Construction of a Meso-Scale Prototype: Prototype able to produce methanol from CO2 and H2, at a rate up to 100 L/min, at pressure up to 50 bar and temperature up to 300 ºC.
Production of Methanol: Production of methanol using technology developed by NET4CO2, coupled with catalytic materials and formulations developed by partners.
