On December 3, eMetCO2 Partners gathered at Net4CO2 Facilities in Porto (Portugal), for the kick-off meeting of the new project “eNETmix technology for electrocatalytic production of Methanol from captured CO2“. This project is funded by an European grant through Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership program). CETP TRI 3 accepted our invitation and joined us to make an online presentation.

The project is coordinated by NET4CO2 and developed in collaboration with Ria Stone SA (Portugal), University of Porto (Portugal), University of Alicante (Spain), University of Cantabria (Spain) and University of Tartu (Estonia).

The project provides support to further develop eNetMIX technology into an eCO2R device able to produce methanol. By converting CO2 captured from flue gas streams, and through advanced energy-efficient electrochemical route, including the use of renewable energy, this will provide a breakthrough contribution to net zero carbon goals by 2050.
