In 2024, CoLAB NET4CO2, in collaboration with the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPL), developed a cutting-edge CO₂ web portal designed to centralize and streamline emissions data. This platform integrates both reported emissions and satellite-measured data, along with other relevant insights, providing a comprehensive overview of the national CO₂ landscape.
By consolidating this information, the portal serves as a strategic tool for tracking current emissions trends and supporting data-driven decision-making. It offers a foundation for analyzing future scenarios, ensuring that policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders have easily accessible and reliable data to guide their carbon management strategies.
This project emerged from an MSc thesis, further reinforcing the role of academic collaboration in driving innovation for sustainability.
