The proposal submitted under the Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) Joint Call 2023 was selected for funding. The eMetCO2 project will be coordinated by NET4CO2 and developed in collaboration with Galp SA, Ria Stone SA, University of Porto, University of Alicante, University of Cantabria and University of Tartu. The project provides support to further develop eNETmix technology into an eCO2R device able to produce methanol. By converting CO2 captured from flue gases streams, and through advanced energy-efficient electrochemical route, including the use of renewable energy, this will contribute to the net zero carbon goals by 2050.
