From June 26–28, CoLAB NET4CO2 participated in the SPE Energy Europe Conference in Torino, Italy, a premier event for global energy professionals focused on advancing sustainable energy solutions and carbon management strategies.
NET4CO2 contributed with a poster presentation titled “Preliminary Estimation of Geological Sequestration Potential of CO₂ in the Algarve Basin – Offshore Portugal”. This research provides key insights into the Algarve Basin’s capacity for CO₂ storage, assessing reservoir feasibility, caprock integrity, and long-term sequestration potential. The findings support the development of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) initiatives, a critical pathway to achieving net-zero emissions. Our participation reinforces CoLAB NET4CO2’s commitment to driving research and innovation in CO₂ storage solutions.
